The session was interactive from both sides and we revised chapter 5 for the exam.
Report:
Conducted an Academic Session on Mathematics for class 6 at 10:40am. Today we revised chapter 5- Understanding Elementary Shapes. We first discussed What is Polygon? And then we practiced name of the polygon according to the number of sides(3-10) and then we drew the polygon( each from triangle to decagon). Then we discussed What is quadrilateral and then we discussed about rectangle and square. We drew a rectangle and then discussed the properties of it. We then saw the formula of area and perimeter of rectangle and then solved a problem based on that formula. We then drew a square and discussed it properties, the formula of its area and perimeter and saw the similarity between the area of rectangle and square and also the similarity between the perimeter of rectangle and square.
