Impact:
Malhar now knows how to read at a good speed. I have been trying my best to lay off his habit of constantly asking me for help and reading it all by himself even if it takes him a while longer. I think he got it at the end and tried his best to pronounce the hard words too.
At the end, he told me about a game he wants to play with me tomorrow, so that was cute and duly noted :)

When we were doing Math word problems in our last session, I noticed Malhar needed to pick up his pace in reading sentences so today for our English session I decided we would read together, and to keep it interesting, we read poems. We read 4 poems, especially for grade1 students. They were short and fun. Malhar got so excited he brought a timer to check his reading speed. And as it took us a while to read the bigger words. It was good practice for his phonics training. Then I asked him to note down the hard words of all 4 poems. Then we read the hard words gained for one last revision. all in all it was an interesting session and we shared quite a few laughs
