Impact:
Since, the passage today was a little study-related, the students wanted to also watch a story on YouTube. I was prepared for this so I showed them what I could find. Next time I will show them a better story. It is natural that students can get bored doing only studying related sessions and they need break once a week a so, so I was happy so something different in the session after the main comprehension reading was done.
Report:
Today I selected a comprehension passage for the students which was non-fiction and academic in nature. The passage was called 'What Are Clouds?' The students took turns reading the passage paragraph wise. We learned about how clouds are formed, what causes rain, the types of clouds and why NASA studies clouds using satellites. So, it was an English cum Geography session one say. The students understood the passage and were able to answer the questions that I asked afterwards.
