Impact:
Students were keen on learning new words and new things. I knew that by seeing their attitude towards classes and doubts. They concentrate on every word said by me and ask doubt if they find anything new or doubtful. I am really happy that they are listening to me that well and clearing their doubts. I learnt that making a student understand what we say not only depends on the tutor but also on the student’s part. Without their support, it is not possible. I am 100% satisfied with the sessions I take and co-operation I get from my students. In tomorrow’s session, we are going to discuss few examples of modal verbs and continue with next topic ‘Active and passive voice’.
Report:
We started today's class by giving a brief introduction to modal and auxiliary verbs. During the last class, students asked me to teach how to translate a paragraph from Tamil to English. For that purpose, I decided to teach them, different kinds of verb and active and passive voice, which will help them to translate any paragraph to English According to that, we saw modal verbs and their meaning. I taught them to understand the purpose of using each modal verb in sentence. They asked a lot of doubts and I was able to make them clear by repeating the need and base for using each modal verb. I also asked them to refer dictionary, in case of doubts.
