Though some of us already had LinkedIn accounts, today we realised its importance and how to use it effectively.
Report:
This workshop is managed by Ziya Saifi and co-managed by me. The speaker of this session was Ms. Devika Ananda, who guided the students about "Professional networking using LinkedIn." To begin with, the speaker explained about networking and some stats to signify the importance of networking in LinkedIn. Then, she explained to us how LinkedIn works and about primary, secondary and tertiary connections. Then, the speaker discussed how to fill the data in our LinkedIn profile, what kind of photo to have and the banner behind the photo and also about our profile strength and the views dependent on that, the headline of our profile and how to update our academic and professional qualifications. Then, Ms. Devika Ananda opened her own LinkedIn account and demonstrated us how to send invitations to connect and also how to post content in LinkedIn.
