Impact:
I enjoyed making these bookmarks so much and was shocked when the young children decided to make a kawaii pig and bunny just using their imagination! It was a great session the kids enjoyed it and so did I. We also learnt about safety while using scissors.
Report:
In this session, we made a Kawaii bookmark! I introduced the session starting with what KAWAII is (cute in Japanese). The children were also told what exactly a bookmark is. I chose to make a bookmark because it will help in introducing reading to these 1st and 2nd graders at an early stage. The children were very enthusiastic and were showing every part of their bookmark-making steps. I also taught them about safety considering scissors were used during this activity.
