Impact:
I felt that it takes time for both the student and teacher to develop mutual trust and understanding. I realised that it is important to befriend the student so that he or she can openly share his or her problems with the teacher. A teacher is not someone who teaches a subject, a teacher is someone who makes the student love the subject. So it is important for the teacher to be a lovable person.
Report:
Today I took mathematics classes for class 8 students. I focused on the a new subtopic under linear equations. This subtopic dealt with linear equations with variables on both sides of the equation. It was initially tough for them to grasp the new concept. However I explained the theory to them on the basis of application based problems and gave them similar sums for homework, and I am sure this will boost their confidence.
