Impact:
As this was the first session, Rutuja made sure to set a comfortable, learning atmosphere for the students. She explained to the best and safe practices to keep in mind while doing Karate. She also made sure to frequently check in with the students to see how they were doing. Rutuja explained that Karate and Exercise can improve your muscle strength, boost your endurance and keep you fit and most importantly help you defend yourself in unforeseen circumstances. The students could understand Rutuja's instructions clearly and could follow along without any difficulties. The students also interacted very well and clarified any questions they had.
Report:
This Karate Workshop was Conducted by Rutuja Mohan Kachare (AIN 43112). It was the First day of the workshop, the session taken up today was "Basic Punch". Rutuja started the session by warming up the students and showing them how to bow before starting karate in a mark of respect and humility. She then moved her students on to the Ready Stance or Heiko dachi, after which she showed the students how to follow through a Horse Stance to get ready for punching. Later Rutuja explained how to punch, how much power to apply and even corrected students' punches to check if they were following appropriately. She ended the session by talking to the students regarding the importance of Karate and exercise. She frequently took breaks and encouraged the students throughout the session.
