Impact:
The session turned out to be quite amusing for the participants. They enjoyed solving the sums of addition of 2,3,4 and 5 digit numbers. They found the concept of addition quite easy. They quickly solved all the sums given to them. They also grasped the concept of Carry- Forwarding very quickly and easily. They were also glad to receive homework for the same. Today's session helped in improving their basic calculation skills. It sharpened their skills of addition as well. Today's lecture was full of fun.
Report:
I conducted my first session today at 5 PM. Since it was my first lecture, I introduced myself in the beginning and asked the participants to introduce themselves as well. Being their fist session of mathematics, I taught them the basics of mathematics. I taught them the basic addition of numbers. I began with the addition of single digit numbers and then slowly moved on to the addition of double digit numbers. I also taught them the addition of 3, 4 and 5 digit numbers. Even the trick of Carry-Forwarding was taught to the participants. Also, homework for the has been given.
