At the end of the class when I asked if they enjoyed the session ,their response was positive. They said they had a lot of fun and would show me more paintings in the next class. Since it was my first session I was a bit nervous but as it went on I got a hold of the whole situation and knew what I had to do exactly. Patience is the most important part. I was satisfied that the kids had fun and learnt something from me. And I would want to do even better in the coming days.
Report:
I first looked for the options for what can be done during a fun and learn session for kids studying in class 1 to 5.Then I decided I would be making them do thumb painting .Then I decided I would be teaching them how to make animals using thumb painting. I informed the manager about the requirements and she shared it with the kids. So when the session begun, I first asked all the students to speak about their hobbies. Then I showed them how to get the thumb impression on the paper using paint. And put up the picture of animals that I wanted them to do. If they had any difficulty I helped them out. I kept track of every student individually. There were kids who didn't have paint so I kept them engaged by asking them to draw something. Once they were done with what I had asked them to paint, I asked them to use their own creativity and do something. After which I ended the session.
