I am feeling a sense of achievement that I conducted a session on the topic 'CHILD SAFETY'.
Report:
Firstly, I was excited and also a bit nervous to conduct a session on this topic. I planned with keeping in mind that my participants are from 8-15 years. I made a ppt where firstly it talked about that "My body is my own. I am the boss of my body." So that participants can feel empowered and a sense of responsibility to protect their bodies. I showed a diagram which was about 4 private parts of our body, explained how we should add healthy boundaries and what are the things we can do to avoid child abuse. Told them the difference between good and bad touch. Also discussed how we can fight in such situations. In the last 20 minutes, I showed them 2 videos (Komal- a film on child sexual abuse, Sexual Abuse in the family- Fight child abuse) so that the message gets clearer. I discussed with them their learnings from the video and also shared my views regarding it. It was a good session.
