Impact:
Mr. Ross emphasised on the importance of focusing on the people and not so much on the task, because when you work with the team and develop the members, the task will definitely get completed. We all enjoyed the small ‘little finger’ activity that Mr. Ross Swan taught us which can be used in times of tension or anxiety.
Report:
There are many key points that Mr. Ross touched upon. First one being the connection of one’s self to our mind and thoughts. Take ownership and connect with yourself, then only is it possible to guide others around you. Balance your outer and inner ego, as it’s imbalance can be harmful in the long run. Oftentimes when we are asked about our past experiences, we talk about how we felt not what was taught. This is one of the main reasons to be an understanding leader to your team. It is important to distinguish between a leader and a manager: a manager’s prime focus is handling and completing the task whereas a leaders focus is to work on his or her people.
