Impact:
I'm happy that these kids do not simply gulp down information. They ask questions and are not hesitant to counteract me when they do not agree. The response to the questions and the overall session was great.
Report:
I planned to conduct a lighthearted session. We made a New Year card with paper cut outs. I showed them how to make it easily and in less time. They helped to organize the materials. Everyone helped me to prepare flowers with papers. I told them to write a message inside the card for the next class. I asked them to share ideas on a particular topic. The aim was to help them think through creative questioning. So, the topic for today was: what would trees do if they could talk like us? I shared an anecdote at the end of the class about India's first woman educator, Savitribai Phule. I encouraged them to look up about her and tell one another in the next session.
