Impact:
I was amazed by the points that they were making without any support. Few of their points were new learning for me as well. Finally, with Pankaj's(coordinator & coach at CrikChamps) help I got to interact with their parents and I tried to make them understand the importance of these sessions and hopefully more kids will participate in future.
Report:
I planned to divide the session in two halves; The first part of the session was all about, being clear with our thoughts -that what we want to convey and making sense to what we speak. The idea behind this was to minimize the impact of the phrase - "You know what I mean" and instead be clear with our thoughts and speak out what we actually mean. After pitching in all the idea's I decided to convert this session into an interacting session through healthy debate on the topic ' We should stop going to the zoo's because the animals are kept captive, Right or Wrong? ' . But before starting the debate we played a fun game of 'one line story' to just get them into the zone of quick thinking, which is very essential in a debate. After that their points began to flow for support and against the motion.
