Impact:
This session will help the students work in teams,together and improve their ability to solve different sums and learn to frame questions.Learn about limitation of time and develop their competitive spirit by increasing their social skill.
Questioning and reasoning is one a the most important traits for students to possess. It will make then curious about new things and gain genuine insight.
Report:
A group activity was organised for the students present.The number of students present were 18-20. The students were divided into two group and each group had to give mathematics questions to the other team to solve. As the students were from different classes questions were to be solved by students according to the level of the student setting up the question in a limited period of time.
The session was very productive as it increased their ability to solve problems as well as set up questions, which is not the case usually. The way they framed the questions was really impressive. They were very competitive and enthusiastic to solve these sums.
In seeing how the activity engaged the students to work together in a group to solve a problem made me realise how big of a capability we are enforcing in them for their development.
Such activities could be held concerning other subjects and topics aswell.
