The principal of Katjunagar Swarnamayee Vidyapith has asked for an official letter to be mailed which explains the details of activities that are conducted and its impact on the students, so that he can seek permission from higher authorities for letting us conduct sessions there. The Principal of Poddar Nagar Girls School has appreciated our efforts in getting involved in such activities but he can allow us to take one or two sessions with the students. In today’s session at Chapalamoyi, I hope the students have benefitted from the lessons given on stress management during examination.
Report:
Today, we had a discussion on the topic on *How to deal with exam stress*. As the students of class 10 will be having their final examination shortly so I thought of taking a session on the mentioned topic. Exam stress affects most students in varying ways so it's important to manage this stress and find little ways of helping each other regarding such kind of stress management. Some of the handy tips include: 1. Taking regular short breaks can let students feel refreshed and relaxed most of the time. For e.g: going out for dinner sometimes, watch a good movie or anything they like doing in their free times. 2. Exercise and Medidate. 3. Speak to someone: Speaking to someone close to you about the main concerns so that they might give good advice about managing it effectively. 4. Eating healthy food always before exams while avoiding junk stuff. 5. Getting proper sleep. 6. Be flexible. Making the. understand that you won't have to be harsh to yourself if you fail to stick to it. 7. Always reward yourself with a small treat. 8. Drawing diagrams and writing down stuff once you have finished reading can help you remember things. 9. Try to speak out LOUD instead of simply reading when you are reading alone in your own room. 10. Lastly, always remember that you all are so much more than your exams. I also went for a survey in 2 schools at Jadavpur along with volunteer Kelsang Yangden 1. Katjunagar Swarnamayee Vidyapith 2. Poddar nagar girls school
