Impact:
Impact is a heavy word and it cannot be seen on anybody in few hours. Though I saw that there were very positive to whatever I was speaking. I am sure I will be able to see the impact in coming few weeks. On Sunday they will be submitting their work which will reflect what they have learnt from their first session with me.
Report:
Yesterday I visited Gandhi Nagar which is just next to my house. I had already spoken to the kids a day before going. So without any delay around 7 pm I went to their house. There had to be three kids, but to my surprise there were four kids. One of them had just heard about my visit so stayed back to experience it. Initially all of them were abit shy and clueless as to why was I there. To make them comfortable I gave them my introduction and explained how Adore India works and it’s purpose. After that I asked them to give their introduction one by one. But they were feeling so shy that they were only looking at each other to avoid it. Therefore I asked to them write on a paper about them. I asked questions like what was their name, age, address, fathers name, mothers name etc. After they had written all of what I wanted to know, I took the papers in my mind. Read all of it and asked them one by one what was their aim. By now they had accepted me a little abit. Excitedly the youngest of the pack Avneesh stood up and announced that he wanted to be a cricketer. He brought energy in all of them and they started speaking about their respective aims in life. From the activity list i had prepared Creative Quest as my first topic of discussion. I spoke at length explaining them who a responsible citizen it. How can an individual be responsible and contribute their part towards the welfare of the society. After my explanation I asked their views. The session was very interactive as per our first meeting. I will be meeting them again this Sunday i.e tomorrow. I have given them homework too regarding the topic Responsible Citizen.
