Impact:
We tried to convince the principal of the specific school we'd met. She was initially pessimistic about the school environment and students' behaviour. We explained her about our objectives, how our activities can affect the children and we could eventually convince her by our approach.
We need to have planned for the other schools. We will surely do it from the next session.
Report:
1. We had started our session by visiting one school in Dhakuria, Binodini Girls' High School, we could contact the principal, informed her about our objective, the importance of conducting sessions in schools. The principal agreed but didn’t confirm saying that she will contact with us shortly after the examination.
2. We visited Ballygunge Siksha Sadan (BSS) school. We couldn’t meet the principal as she was involved in a meeting. We were given the contact information and been told to confirm our appointment at an early date.
3. We visited Patha Bhavan High School. We couldn’t visit the principal as it wasn’t the visiting time. We need to make a prior appointment.
4. Lastly we visited a community area, interacted with few locals there and we were been told to seek permission from the authority for our session conduction and probably we can do that by next week.
