Impact:
The impact on the participants has been very positive. We reached there after looking for a lot of kids. But when we went there, we initially started speaking to the lady, who was the mother of one of the child. While speaking, the father too joined and was excited to let the children learn something. He looked very interested in the learning area. He got the kids and made us speak to them. He told us that after a certain age , they send their children to their native place to either work or do their schooling. But he says they are too small for going and studying now because they can't live without their parents . The kids seemed happy and elated when speaking to. The parents were happy and had alloted us a place where we would take our sessions. Infact, Shivam the one we met near Ballygunge Phari, and hasn't confirmed yet, was elated seeing us. He too has a positive response towards the interaction. The interaction with both the parties went well. And we have also provided them with the time as we would be conducting from the coming week. They had a positive attitude even when we said that there is no give and take system in our organisation which they were okay with and all they wanted was that their children get education somehow or the other.

So, basically as we had conducted a session last week in Gariahat. We decided to meet near the same location at 4 today as well, so that we could look for more kids near by. We started walking from Gariahat to find kids, towards Park Circus. Initially, we thought we would get kids near Ballygunge Phari (Mandir) as on weekdays there are many to be seen. Well, unfortunately we couldn't see any of them today. While walking for a short distance from Phari Mandir, we found boys playing in the park. Not all of them looked illliterte, but there were 2-3 kids, out of which we spoke to one of them named Shivam. We asked him if he wants to study from us, to which he had a positive response. But when asked where his parents were, he said they've gone for some work, so we'll have to go and speak to them tomorrow for the same. As there was no confirmation from here, we thought of looking for more places and found one opposite to Ice Skating Rink. The family living there was convinced by us and are ready to let us teach their kids. The father said there are 4 kids out there and they would be highly obliged if we teach them. The response received from the parents side was astonishing and pleasing. We were glad to have found them. We also made it very clear to them before starting that we would not be providing them with anything, nor will we take anything from them. So, they had a very positive response to this as well. There were 2 kids who were present there at that time , and the rest 2 he said would join from the day we start conducting our sessions. After speaking to them, we discussed a little about the timings and are going to conduct our session from the next week. Eventually, we ended our survey at 5 20 PM.
