Report on today's session in Jyotirmoy Vidya Mandir. 15.01.2019
With class 4, 5 and 6. We carried on with public speaking. It was a good improvement. One remarkable moment to mark was Kiran Jaiswal and the points she makes, are incredibly good.
With the students of class 3.
We did a session on "vision for improvement" on the categories of education, farming, cleanliness and mass media.
We first explained them all the terms. Then asked them to give down 3 suggestions and explain it for each.
It was indeed a great experience because, firstly it was a Hercules task explaining Mass media but once they got it, everyone came up with really good suggestions.
Outcome-
1. They learned new terms.
2. They utilized their creative thinking.
3. They had to speak out and explain the suggestions, in that process they did a bit of public speaking too.
4. They, as in the youth, consists of the demographic dividend, has good vision for improvement.
Some of the suggestions-
1. For mass media, they took it in an individual stance, and said that people should read more newspaper to know what's happening and they should start young.
2. They also pointed out that farmer's should be provided with better irrigation (water) for better farming.
3. They stated that, for improvement in cleanliness, one should start from themselves and in the place they are in.
4. And as for education, they said that, there should be better essentials and facilities for studying. And students should be told from the beginning itself as to why an education is important, so that it is valued more.
Along with this, they told me reaction of "dear parents' in the beginning, which was interesting to hear, Ill write a proper report on it. Even for vision for improvement, Ill write the proper report.
We also went to follow up in calcutta girls academy, we got her phone no. and mail ID.
We also went inside (really interiors) Malik bazar area to look for places to start Sunshine. A lot of people told us they'd contact us if they find a way. They appreciated us too. We visited a lot of people, small shops, etc. And they said that in the inside areas there are a lot of kids who needs it. So yes, we await for their affirmation.
